VIAMBER began in 2009 with twelve craftsmen and a single client in Kuwait. In 2013 we discontinued every other product line and rebuilt the floor around amber alone. Everything since has been a consequence of that decision.

Amber is soft, heat-sensitive and unforgiving of aggressive tooling. A factory that machines agate, wood and amber on the same line with the same parameters will produce acceptable agate, acceptable wood, and amber that has been rounded off by the buffing needed to hide the damage.
Committing to one material meant rebuilding the machining parameters, the dust extraction, the inspection lighting and the polishing sequence from first principles. It also meant turning away a great deal of work.
Sixteen years later it is the only reason we can hold ± 0.05 mm across ninety-nine beads.

Four commitments we have never traded away
We do not compete with our clients
VIAMBER holds no retail channel and sells nothing to the end consumer. Every piece we make leaves under someone else’s name.
We declare the material
Natural, pressed or reconstituted, stated in writing on every order. We will not represent one as another, and we protect clients from doing so inadvertently.
We say no to timelines we cannot hold
A programme declined at quotation costs us one order. A programme accepted and delivered late costs a client a Ramadan.
We keep client work invisible
No client names published, no client work photographed for our marketing without written permission, no acknowledgement that a programme exists.
Sixteen years of doing one thing.
If that is the kind of supplier you are looking for, the fastest way to find out is to send us a brief and see what comes back.
